Touchpad not working only when booting from cold boot

My device is Lenovo Ideapad 330-14IGM (Celeron N4000),
this issue only exist on Linux kernel and not on Linux-lts kernel.

rebooting and/or suspending the devices fixes the problem temporarily, but the problem will be back on another cold boot.

Check the journal for clues.

Sounds like a regression then. See https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/kernel … egressions.

Do you know how to achieve cold-boot like state? I tried to turn off the machine without connecting it to power source for 5-10 minutes then turned the laptop on again, but the issue didn't occurs.

My laptop has internal battery so does it has anything to do with it?

So the touchpad isn't working at all then?

the touchpad is detected, however when I try to use it the machine will freeze for a short time(about 1s).

touchpad will work normallyafter suspend/reboot, also ignore what i've said before... I already find a way to replicate the issue.

I see this in the journald which I think should be relevant:

Dec 14 16:14:36 LENOVO-i330 kernel: i2c_designware i2c_designware.1: controller timed out

I can't find anything in the dmesg.

dmesg
