X280 slow wakeup from suspend / How to debug

Just upgrade from an X230 to X280 by dd'ing the whole disk. Everything working fine. Wakeup from suspend, however, takes some seconds:

I usually have FnLock enabled. The FnLock LED lights up instantly on wakeup, while power button LED still flashes. After 3 seconds, the latter turns on. After another 3 seconds, the screen turns on and I can unlock (slock) my Xorg session. Typing before screen wakeup seems to have no result.

My X230 on the contrary woke up instantly - I pressed XF86Wakeup and immediately started typing my password.

Cannot find anything related grepping through journalctl and dmesg. Might this be a h/w related issue? How would you guys debug?
