Second display doesn't work if rebooted, but does if manually

So I have a laptop and my current problem is that whenever I reboot it, my attached display won't show anything nor be detected as connected. If however I manually boot my laptop, it works just fine.
Sorry if this is a duplicate, I couldn't find a solution to that problem and I very rarely do posts myself.

Best regards

Re: Second display doesn't work if rebooted, but does if manually

Do you mean pressing the laptop's power button after doing a full shutdown when you say manually boot? And do you mean something like typing sudo reboot into a terminal when you say reboot?

I've never seen this problem before, but I also very rarely use multiple monitors. Is there any more information you could give? What you've said isn't much to go on, it could be a number of things.

ive seen this on a laptop that runs an external, i would fix it with

xrandr --output <failed external display> --off

and then

xrandr --auto

ediit  --- amd gpu yea? if so maybe something to do with that, i recall this issue only on my ryzen/radeon
