KDE Plasma turns down the animation quality for some video games to enhance performance. After a video game which KDE used this feature for quit unexpectedly, KDE has not returned to its usual high animation quality. That means that there is no animation for minimising, maximising, or restoring windows; no transparency; no previews on the task manager (taskbar); etc.
How can I enable high animation quality again?

Alt+Shift+F12 and/or check the Compositing settings in System Settings -> Display and Monitors -> Compositor
Online
Thank you, checking the compositor in the system settings fixed the issue!
