Failing to do a system upgrade

Hello, I haven't updated my system in a while so I decided to do pacman -Syu but I got 404 errors on the linux headers. I'm pretty sure this is because they are no longer on the  servers. So I tried pacman -Syyu and no dice. I updated the mirrors and I can't get the upgrades I need. Do I just have to reinstall? I have no idea how to get the packages I need.

Also check the status of your mirror(s), https://archlinux.org/mirrors/status/

Re: Failing to do a system upgrade

So it's trying to download a version that hasn't existed for three and a half days. That means your databases are out of date, and those come from the first mirror in your mirrorlist. Change that and try again.

Well I think some of the US mirrors are failing but I am still not getting packages from synced and working mirrors.

Re: Failing to do a system upgrade

What is the first mirror in the system's mirrorlist?
Edit:
Or post the full output of

pacman -Syu --debug

You only get the databases from the very first mirror (or really the first that connects).  If that one is bad, then it can give you an outdated database, at which point you will of course not get packages from any of the synced and working mirrors as by-definition synced and working mirrors do not contain outdated packages - they contain the up to date packages.

We'd much prefer you know ... or really we'd prefer that we could know.  Checking the mirror status, updating your mirrors, or telling us which mirror is first would avoid all the guess work.
