Hi lads,
I have been fighting with my new laptop for a bit now. I just can't seem to get the "disable while typing" function to work. Or more accurately, it behaves not like i expect. First proof it's on ![]()

There is no timer you can adjust, no. I had a similar model some time back and struggled with it. Back then I resolved to disable tap-to-click for the pad. This way the cursor still jumped around, but the chaotic copy-paste was under control... Libinput has added some tools though, which you can use to try add a quirk for your model. Try:
libinput debug-guiIt can help you to visualize when you accidently hit the touchpad. The libinput palm detection describes how the driver tries to eliminate palm distortions. If you are patient, you may figure a device quirk. For example, if you figure your palm rests on the top portion of the pad while typing, you can perhaps work out a custom quirk to increase the upper border area (see link for description).
