yay keeps (re)installing an AUR package

as above, the balena-etcher package from AUR is being offered for reinstallation (same version) every time I run it

:: 1 Packages to upgrade.
1  aur/balena-etcher  1.7.3-1 -> 2:1.7.3-1
==> Packages to exclude: (eg: "1 2 3", "1-3", "^4" or repo name)

thx for hints to resolve this

Those aren't the same versions...

If this happens every time and you've already updated the package then it sounds like an upstream bug. Try posting here...

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan

Re: yay keeps (re)installing an AUR package

The maintainer screwed up and removed the epoch: https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/ … 3cfd832394

They forgot to also remove it in the .SRCINFO, but you cannot remove an epoch once it's there anyway.
