Should I choose Y or N for this Pacman request, please?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Which letter is in capitals, the y or the n?

Moving to NC.

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan

The Y is capitalized, the n is lower case. Thanks.

Re: [SOLVED] Pacman Update - Replace hwids with core/hwdata?

Which means it's the recommended default choice. This basically boils down to how the packagers handle these kind of packaging changes. If done correctly and the replacement is intentional, pacman will suggest an uppercase Y assuming an actual intention behind the packaging change that is safe to accept.

As mentioned on https://github.com/gentoo/hwids

This project is no longer active. hwdata is an active alternative.
