Changing openbox's alt+tab menu icon

Is there a way to change the logo that is displayed in the openbox alt+tab
menu?

When using 'tabbed' it only displays the generic icon (white window with blue
decoration bar). This was no big deal since it was the only program that did
that, but I recently installed 'obsidian' and it also displays this generic
icon, which makes differentiating a bit of a pain.

If this is possible, would there be a way to dynamically set the icon when it
runs? For example if I am running zathura in tabbed it could display the
zathura logo, but if I used tabbed with another program it could display that
program's icon? This part is totally unimportant to me and all I really care
about it setting a static icon for each program.

While searching I found suggestions for using a custom window switcher. I would
rather not as I like the functionality of the openbox menu and only care about
changing the icon.

Re: Changing openbox's alt+tab menu icon

The generic icon is displayed when openbox can't use the application icon.

Looks like the obsidian icon might be too big (512x512) so perhaps try making a smaller version (eg, 32x32) and place it under /usr/local/share/pixmaps/.

Re: Changing openbox's alt+tab menu icon

I have a lot of menu items which involve a terminal, for which I needed to manually configure menu icons. I saw no way to do this with openbox, and this really bothered me. I had been trying openbox when fvwm was no longer a regular package, but this was one of the reasons for me to revert to fvwm, which is still available via AUR, and is easy to compile anyway.

I tried resizing the obsidian.png logo under /usr/share/pixmaps/ and also creating and placing it under /usr/local/share/pixmaps/ to no avail.

I also tried pointing the obsidian.desktop icon=obsidian to a different icon that I know works (steam) and it still showed the generic icon.
