Change GTK dropdown menus to Qt style dropdown menus

Is there a way i can change the dropdown menus in GTK applications to work like Qt dropdown menus? In Qt dropdowns always appear beneath the the dropdown menu button, in GTK however, the dropdown appears on the item that was previously selected. A GTK dropdown also instantly closes if you move the cursor before releasing left click, this doesn't happen in Qt.

GTK: Opens on the selected item. Closes when cursor is (accidentally) moved while left click is pressed.

Qt: Always opens menu below button. Doesn't close if cursor is (accidentally) moved while left click is pressed.
