[SOLVED] Camera not working when running app as a different user

I have a setup where I'm opening some applications as another user to enhance security. I have run into a problem now because it appears that camera is not working (not detected) when I try running Chromium or Firefox as another user.

I.e. I do this to launch Firefox:

xhost si:localuser:internet
sudo -u internet GDK_SCALE=2 firefox

By the way, I did get audio and microphone working thanks to this tutorial: https://dhole.github.io/post/pulseaudio_multiple_users/

I got this. I had to add the user to video group. For some reason the main user did not have to be in the video group for camera to work.
