How to restrict mouse to single monitor in a dual monitor setup

I have a laptop running arch, which I have connected to an external display. With modern games, this is not a problem, I can play them in windowed mode and the mouse gets locked to the window. However, recently I have been wanted to play Age of Mythology: The Titans again. It's an old Microsoft game that came out in 2002. I have been able to install it using wine, get it up and running in windowed mode at 1080p resolution and using my discrete GPU. The only issue I have now is that my mouse does not get locked to the monitor on which the game is running. I did some research and found this software exists on windows: http://www.snakebytestudios.com/project … rsor-lock/, that people in the age of community use. Is there any alternative for the same for linux. If not, how difficult is this to implement? I am a developer, and I wouldn't mind spending a weekend on writing a script to do this.
