I can't find the KDE Plasma display scaling settings.

Question in the title...

I was curious about the current state of the most popular Linux DE's so I decided to give a few of them a go on fresh user accounts.
This is all on bare metal on my daily-driver so everything should already be configured OK. Current kernel and amdgpu drivers being used for a 2700X and RX580 and my usual setup (sway) is working perfectly.

I just can't find the setting to scale my display 2x (using a 4K TV as my only display), I've read the Plasma and HiDPI wiki pages and tried both X and wayland sessions but the supposed options don't appear.

Am I just being stupid?

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan

Re: I can't find the KDE Plasma display scaling settings.

Maybe here?

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/HiDPI#KDE_Plasma

This part works for me on X11/Plasma (just tested)

To adjust font, widget, and icon scaling together:

System Settings > Display and Monitor > Display Configuration > Global Scale
Drag the slider to the desired size
Restart for the settings to take effect

As I mentioned in my OP, I've tried that but I don't have a 'Global Scale' option appearing on my screen....

Re: I can't find the KDE Plasma display scaling settings.

Yep. I reckon it's a package that Arch has as optional that enables the relevant options in 'System Settings'.
I only installed plasma-desktop but mistakenly assumed that KDE would want you to be able to do this as a default option.....

Will fix this tomorrow and post the answer if I can. It's my bedtime.
