Hello,
i'm unable to change my profile pic from today, i was able to earlier.
when i click on the picture next to my username i get a drop down gallery of stock login pics, i have no issue selecting these pics.
issue occurs only when i select a pic which i already have on my computer.
i am able to select the pic, move and resize the square outline to crop it and if i click on select nothing happens.
it reverts back to last stock photo.
i have also tried changing the pic after Unlock option but result was same.
the images are jpeg 301x301 with file permissions -rwxrwxrwx.
any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
My System details -
5.16.3-arch1-1
Gnome 41.3
Wayland
Thanks,

I was able to duplicate your problem. I got around it by editing /var/lib/AccountsService/users/<my user> to have the Icon field point to /var/lib/AccountsService/icons/<my user> and then logging out and in. I'm guessing it may have something to do with the recent update to accountsservice to 22.04.62-2. I will try downgrading and see if that makes a difference.

Downgrading accountsservice to 0.6.55-3 allowed me to change the profile pic thru the settings app. I checked their website/gitlab and there is already an issue posted for this. Just need to wait...
