I don't get the point of dual-boot BT pairing [SOLVED]

According to
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Blueto … ot_pairing
apparently you can pair your BT device with both OS.
So what, you can do that anyway, no? Just pair it in each OS, done? oO Since it's dual-boot, those two OS will never run _at the same time_, so it doesn't matter?

There are BT devices that can only store a "single" pairid/device (or alternatively generally a limited list of max pairing connections and you don't want to waste 2 slots if you can just use one) to pair to and you'd have to go through the entire pairing process each time you switch.

This is likely to not matter for many modern devices and I don't have an offhand example

My Microsoft Designer Bluetooth Desktop keyboard/mouse combo does that. Very annoying if you switch between Windows and Linux frequently. Maybe I will try the wiki method if I ever use it again…
