Yaourt returned error : 404

Hey fellas,

Updating using the command bellow worked but generated this error message:

#yaourt -Suuy --aur --devel

Error:

I found that on aur all these files are available but still I got this error 404 (probably missing file?)

Any clue on this matter?

Yes, you are using Yaourt.

Yaourt has been deprecated for a long time due to serious shortcomings. For 5 years it is completely abandoned, even by its authors.⁽¹⁾⁽²⁾ Which means it sees no maintenance and receives no updates. In this case it is trying to access API that has been replaced in 2016. The path was technically present on the server after that and clients had time to update their code. But at 14:39 Los Angeles time it has been finally removed, as PHP is no longer used by aurweb. That’s why you see the 404 error.

The solution is to use an AUR helper that works and is maintained.
