Hibernation fails and computer turns back on frozen

Hello, when I try "systemctl hibernate" my computer freezes, the monitors turn off, however the computer does not, and then the monitors turn back on with my computer still frozen. Trying any key combinations to shut down Xorg does nothing, and I cannot move the mouse or open any windows. If I turn my computer off at the wall socket, and then turn it back on, the system acts as if it was shut down. This has only happened since I switched from a GTX 1650 to an RX 6600xt. I am using linux-zen 5.16.5.zen1-1 as my kernel, and my driver version is mesa 21.3.5-1.

Edit: I just tried writing to the state file in /sys/power instead of using systemctl, when doing this I encounter the same issue as with using systemctl. l have also double checked that the resume kernel parameter was still in grub, as I re-generated the grub.cfg recently, and it is. I also encounter the same issue using the AMDGPU PRO drivers instead of the open source ones.

Edit 2: It turns out that my system was just taking an unusually long time to hibernate, and after leaving it for about a minute it turned off properly, and resumes state upon pressing the power button.
