I cannot reach certain websites like github , stackoverflow etc etc on my archlinux pc. I don't know why is that happening. Pinging those websites works but when I try to go to that website in my browser it doesnt work :\ . I don't know why
This was my /etc/hosts file -
# Static table lookup for hostnames.
# See hosts(5) for details.
127.0.0.1 localhost
::1 localhost
127.0.1.1 enjoy.localdomain enjoy
It was not working but I then I read the archwiki and saw that the host file configuration I made during installing arch was wrong and I was following some old arch linux youtube videos
so I changed the /etc/hosts file to -
# Static table lookup for hostnames.
# See hosts(5) for details.
127.0.0.1 localhost
::1 localhost
127.0.1.1 enjoy
This is my /etc/resolv.conf
# Generated by NetworkManager
nameserver 172.16.212.129
nameserver 8.8.8.8
Everything looks good and my router configuration is -
IP Address: (172.16.212.134) Static IP
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.192
Default Gateway: 172.16.212.129
MTU Size: 1500
DNS Server 1: 172.16.212.129
DNS Server 2: 8.8.8.8
Everything looks good but still I cannot reach some websites on my pc ![]()
