Arch as WH-1000XM4's second device

I have Sony WH100MX4 bluetooth headphones that have some kind of multiple device support.

When I first connect with my Arch, I have following profiles and codecs

High Fidelity Playback (A2DP Sink, codec AAC/SBC/SBC-XQ)
and
Headset Head Unit (HSP/HFP mSBC/CVSD)

I choose AAC and it has really good sound. of course sacrifice being that mic doesn't work.
It works even if I connect my phone afterwards.

Now if I first connect my phone and Arch connects as second device, I only have Headset Head Unit (HSP/HFP mSBC/CVSD)
which has terrible sound.

I use Pipewire and lastest Arch.

Re: Arch as WH-1000XM4's second device

I have the same sets of Headphones

I use bluetoothctl, set your controller to discoverable and pairable
then you should have a list of [NEW DEV] new devices with the Sony Headset address
run pair <device address>

This should be able to pair and connect successfully
All the best

Are you aware that the WH-1000XM4 headphones drops the codec when is connected to two devices?
