Yesterday, I started having issues with my mouse.
After boot my mouse moves but is unable to click on anything.
Both right and left click are affected.
I am running KDE but also tried the XFCE and DWM.
The keyboard still works and I am able to use Alt+F2 to runn apps.
I have tried a different mouse and different ports.
I have also tried removing kscreen file per another forum post.
When I run libinput debug-events it registers the mouse movement and all button clicks except middle click.
As a last resort I tried a Manjaro live disc. The live session had the same issues with proprietary and open source drivers.
I can ssh into the machine and access different ttys.
Is there anything else I can try or is my best bet to just reinstall and hope for the best?
Thanks,

What about "xev -event mouse"?

Answer implied…
The most likely explanation would be that something™ grabs the pointer, but that doesn't square w/ "different sessions and also manjaro"
The libinput findings would suggest that the middle button is stuck, but that doesn't square w/ "tried a different mouse" - did you also boot the system with the "different mouse" attached (only)?

I tried just disconnecting my old mouse and connecting a new one alone.
Everything appears to be working now.
Thanks

It's probably rather physically stuck than a broken switch - so disassembling the mouse and cleaning it a bit might recover it.
