[SOLVED] KDE Powerdevil: "Closed lid" button event disappeared

I've noticed a couple of days ago that my ThinkPad X1 laptop stopped going to sleep when the lid is closed. I'm using KDE and the action associated to the lid closing event used to be configured in Power Management->Button events handling. I can only see the "When power button pressed" under that section now. "When lid closed" has disappeared. Nevertheless, "systemd-inhibitor --list" correctly shows powerdevil as controlling the lid event:

WHO: PowerDevil
COMM: org_kde_powerde
WHAT: handle-power-key:handle-suspend-key:handle-hibernate-key:handle-lid-switch
WHY: KDE handles power events
MODE: block

The laptop goes to sleep and wakes up correctly (Shutdown->Sleep works well). I have no external monitors attached to the laptop.

I deleted .config/powermanagementprofilesrc and let KDE recreate it. Here is its content:

[AC]
icon=battery-charging

[AC][DPMSControl]
idleTime=600
lockBeforeTurnOff=0

[AC][DimDisplay]
idleTime=300000

[AC][HandleButtonEvents]
lidAction=1
powerButtonAction=16
powerDownAction=16

[Battery]
icon=battery-060

[Battery][DPMSControl]
idleTime=300
lockBeforeTurnOff=0

[Battery][DimDisplay]
idleTime=120000

[Battery][HandleButtonEvents]
lidAction=1
powerButtonAction=16
powerDownAction=16

[Battery][SuspendSession]
idleTime=600000
suspendType=1

[LowBattery]
icon=battery-low

[LowBattery][BrightnessControl]
value=30

[LowBattery][DPMSControl]
idleTime=120
lockBeforeTurnOff=0

[LowBattery][DimDisplay]
idleTime=60000

[LowBattery][HandleButtonEvents]
lidAction=1
powerButtonAction=16
powerDownAction=16

[LowBattery][SuspendSession]
idleTime=300000
suspendType=1

Does anyone know what might have happened? Did the option to control the lid event move someplace else or was it temporarily removed?

There was a bug in the new version of upower, it should be fixed if you update now with updated mirrors and get upower 0.99.16-2

Thanks. This update fixed it. I was looking for existing bugs against powerdevil. I forgot about upower.

Never mind, rebooting fixed it. I had only just finished updating packages. I did not realize that upower was one of them. I had assumed that I had been running the correct version for a while. Sorry.
