In the past I struggled to disable the nvidia gpu for power saving, since I wasn't interested in playing on linux. However, I finally succeeded by using the new updated solution from this post -> https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 6#p1794626 (at least, as far as I remember).
However now I want to use the nvidia GPU, so I removed all the files created in that guide, and uninstalled everything I installed related to power savings (powertop, tlp, bumblebee). However, I can't use the nvidia gpu because I can't load the nvidia kernel module. The problem is that I can't see the GPU in the output of lspci (which only lists the intel iGPU).
Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this?
EDIT: the gpu works fine in windows, so it's not hardware damage

did you remove the script that unbinds the card from the pci bus? Which "file created in that guide" did you remove exactly?

AFAIK Bumblebee blacklists some Nvidia-related modules. Double check your configuration. Check the note.
