Hi! For some reason when I'm using a Lexar 3.2 USB drive, it keeps disconnecting. I've tried using dmesg errors to find anything regarding the error, but everything I try shows me nothing. It's breaking on both USB 3 and USB 2 across multiple computers. Dmesg errors are below. I've tried to wipe the entire drive but there simply isn't enough time before it automatically disconnects. Dmesg logs for the USB 2 pc below. Any help is appreciated :). Also, yes my kernel is up to date.

Device is not getting plugged in to the usb port good, or the device is bad.
dmesg -wThen plug the device in. Does dmesg continue to scroll? Try and wiggle or move the usb drive in and out a small amount and see if it stops.
Little usb device should become ready, then mount it.
It's breaking on both USB 3 and USB 2 across multiple computers.
Then maybe the device is bad. Are all of these machines arch? With the same kernel? Try to plug it into a windows or other linux box.

I'm at home now, same thing happening on main PC. I've tried it on windows and Linux mint as well. The thing that I find weird is that I can still write to the drive before it breaks.
Here's the logs from home PC

[ 294.696659] usb usb1-port9: unable to enumerate USB deviceIt does continue to scroll through when I run dmesg -w, same error logs. Before it breaks, I can also write to it, but then it unplugs itself. Using the timestamps, is there a way to know if there's an automatic check that happens that's causing this? I've checked every option but the USB is only 3 weeks old so I doubt it's writes are up. There's also not enough time to write a filesystem to it, so I can't mount it.

If you're using some power management daemon like TLP, it can and will override that value at runtime - so make sure to configure the behavior there (as well)
