Arch Installation Fails, Monitor out of Range

I've been using Arch for a couple years now. Sometime after January of 2022 I noticed I can no longer install Arch because the archiso installer seems to set up the monitor in a refresh rate not understood by the monitor.

This is happening on a brand new install; this is NOT an X issue.

The server I am trying to install to used to run Arch with no issues. Because the monitor is out of range, I can't get to a prompt to do the actual install.

Is there a fix for this? This also happens on a new laptop (less than 1 year old). I CAN install to a 15 year old PC though, so not sure what's going on here.

Try whether you can boot with the nomodeset kernel parameter. What makes you sure it's an out of range issue?  Does the monitor literally display that?

Hi V1del. Yes, the monitor is telling me this. The monitor goes black, then a message showing me the refresh rate, which I believe was 147.9 KHz, or thereabouts, but you get the idea.
