[SOLVED] Continuously requesting DHCPv6 information

My journal is being flooded with the following message:

dhcpcd[433]: eno1: requesting DHCPv6 information

This message has occurred occasionally for a while, but from 17 March, when I woke the PC from suspend, it has been appearing every 10 seconds.
I cannot see anything that changed before that (I removed pulseaudio the previous evening).

(My ISP (Sky) do not fully support IPv6)

Is there any way to stop this message?

Re: [SOLVED] Continuously requesting DHCPv6 information

Use "dhcpcd -4" wherever dhcpcd is invoked (service, netctl, networkmanager, …) or disable IPv6 altogether, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/IPv6#Disable_IPv6

Re: [SOLVED] Continuously requesting DHCPv6 information

It appears to be a bug in dhcpcd 9.4.1, I reported it at https://github.com/NetworkConfiguration … /issues/80 .

Apart from the log messages I have not noticed any performance issues and my ISP gives me full IPv6 / IPv4 dual stack support.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
