Hi,
I have mgba and mgba-qt installed by mgba-sdl and mgba-qt packages respectively. When I tried to open them, I got this error:
mgba: error while loading shared libraries: libavcodec.so.58: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Either ffmpeg4.4 in Extra or ffmpeg-compat-58 in AUR seems to solve the problem.
I googled libavcodec.so.58 and mgba, but couldn't find similar issue.
Does this count as a bug that I should report?

Yes. The package dependencies are wrong.

I've managed to fix it by installing ffmpeg-compat-58 from the AUR

That's not a fix, that's a workaround. The package dep should be ffmpeg4.4.

sorry to necrobump, but to further support Scimmia,
I updated my ffmpeg and ffmpeg4.4 and now my software works.

Gonna necrobump again, the `obs-studio` package still doesn't seem to depend on `ffmpeg`, and I'm a big confused as to why not?

I don't know why you would necrobump (which is against the rules) about a bug that was fixed years ago. If you have a problem *and you're fully up to date*, make a new thread fully describing the problem.

Mod note: Do not necrobump! Closing.
