Hello,
booting the USB installation medium (current iso release 2022.03.01 with kernel 5.16.11) on my new laptop throws a bunch of these ACPI BIOS errors.
According to this answer, the error is pretty common and harmless... but as this is a fresh install, I wanted to double check, just in case. I've installed and run Arch on other laptops and I've never seen this before. The laptop is an Asus Vivobook Pro 16x (N7600).
This is an excerpt from the logs

Should I ignore them and proceed with the installation?
Thanks in advance for your help!

These are mostly of informational value that the BIOS is claiming to support things it actually doesn't and are largely normal and largely ignorable.
The "only" way to fix these is with BIOS/EFI updates, but chances are new ones are introduced or older ones not fixed. If you don't notice something actively not working that you are sure has a relation to ACPI you don't need to worry much.

Thanks for your answer V1del.

According to this document, all these missing symbols are related to thermal management.
_CRT for Critical Temperature
_HOT for Hot Temperature
_PSV for Passive
_AC0 for Active Cooling
And the S1, S2, S3 and S4 stuff is about the sleeping states. Couldn't find the meaning of the trailing AT, CT, HT...
I'm curious about the actual implications of this. Does this mean that the laptop's fan won't automatically start when it gets hot?

Not necessarily, linux might not be able to control/influence things but on the majority of laptops the BIOS has to and does handle these internally anyway.
