Is my system update broken?

So, I am regularly running pacman -Syu, but for the last 1 month no updates received. I do not have any issue, i an install new packages and so on.
How the update check works, are there some manual steps that i can take in order to verify everything works?

Have you tried updating your mirrors?

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan

You might want to check your mirrors.
Make sure NOT to run '#pacman -Syyu' unless you absolutely understand what this command does.

Got ninja'd - again.
