Hi,
my LibreOffice fresh install keeps crashing once I open the "Options" window. This happened for both version 7.3.1 and 7.3.2. Am I the only one with that issue? Both starting in safe mode and entirely deleting the user profile did not help, neither did disabling OpenCL and OpenGL...
Am I the only one with this issue? Also, I'm greatful for hints how to debug this further for an eventual bug report...
The stack trace in the terminal looks like this, for comparison:
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'com::sun::star::uno::RuntimeException'
Fatal exception: Signal 6

What if you "export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen" to libreoffice?

I tried now, thanks for the tip! The issue remains, though...

Works fine here, some tiling WM that tries to enforce the window into some state it doesn't handle or so?

Humm could be? I'm using Xfce and xfce's default window manager, though... also I tried running under a newly created user with a completely fresh home dir and it crashes there as well...
Ok at least I can be sure it's got something to do with my machine...

Ok I dug deeper and found the culprit! Thanks for all your help.
I used "strace -f -o dump.txt libreoffice --safe-mode" to maybe see a bit better what's going on. In the last few lines there I saw that it tried to load a "libZXing" library. I recalled that this particular library, useful for decoding Aztec and DataMatrix codes, hadn't been in the official repos, or at least only a version without the binary in /usr/bin - and ineed I had installed the AUR version, providing that library.
But my AUR version provided a lowercase version whereas the version in the repos provided the uppercase library - so the loading failed. Once I uninstalled my AUR version and installed the repo version, LibreOffice started working like a charm again
