I recently installed Arch on a Macbook Pro 14,1 (2017) and bluetooth did not seem to work right away. I therefore tried installing some firmware for Broadcom BCM4350 and also broadcom-wl, but for some reason this broke my wifi and wlp2s0 was not recognised. Am I missing something fundamental here or is there an issue with this specific network controller?

Welcome to hell, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Broadcom_wireless
As for what's wrong, we'll need some data to make an informed comment.
uname -a; lspci -k; sudo journalctl -b
On a guess: if you're running the lts kernel, you'll need broadcom-wl-dkms and the linux-lts-headers…

Here is the output (I think) had to copy it to a file first because I couldn't access the internet.
This is after installing broadcom-wl-dkms and linux-headers.

So it's a newer chip and supported by brcmfmac and the device is listed and the kernel module used … but there's no trace of that in the journal
You don't need the broadcom-wl pacakges, what's the output of
pacman -Qs firmware
?

This is the output:
local/linux-firmware 20220309.cd01f85-1
Firmware files for Linux
local/linux-firmware-whence 20220309.cd01f85-1
Firmware files for Linux - contains the WHENCE license file which documents the vendor license details

Ok. The broadcom wiki doesn't mention it, but broadcom-wl blacklists all sorts of modules, incl. brcmfmac, but apparently doesn't cover your chip.
I assume the lspci output was taken from the arch install iso?
Apr 03 17:58:48 kikai kernel: Bluetooth: hci0: BCM: failed to write update baudrate (-110)
Apr 03 17:58:48 kikai kernel: Bluetooth: hci0: Failed to set baudrate
Apr 03 17:58:50 kikai kernel: Bluetooth: hci0: command 0x0c03 tx timeout
Bluetooth still fails, so as first step:
=> remove all broadcom-wl* packages again and reboot.
The wifi should™ return.
Then we can focus on the bluetooth situation.

Yes, I have uninstalled broadcom-wl. The issue now is bluetooth, I don't know what I need to make it work. Thank you for taking your time to reply!

Ok, please mark this thread resolved by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
Then open a new thread reg. your bluetooth situation. Post the output of "lsusb" and an updated system journal there.
Feel free to link that thread here, but we'll handle that problem separately to make both more useful for future readers.

With this driver I finally managed to get it working, found it in a GitHub thread.
To install it just follow the instructions in the README.
Thank you seth for being kind and helpful, this is my first topic here and I am glad something came out of it!
Also as seth mentioned there is no need for broadcom-wl as wifi will work out of the box.

Hi, did you experience any problems with this bluetooth driver? On the same macbook I have sluttering of audio when I have wifi connected at 2.4 GHz or/and when I search bluetooth devices
