[edit]I found topblock to be one of the screensavers in xscreensaver. man, that's a lot to be running for a screensaver eh?
Also notice that root is running X in 3 instances.
I'm concerned about the cpu speed while the computer isn't doing anything.
I'm using kernel 2.6.18ck
3 users on logged on.
kde 3.5.5
Here is my top output:

Looks like a crappy screensaver - topblock is hogging your CPU. Use a better screensaver.

yep, I realized it after a trip to google. I changed it. It was one of the xscreensavers called ......topblock. My kid liked it (3yr old). really cool lego blocks building things but damn it is a resource hog eh?
Thanks guys. I've been having a lot of little problems on one users desktop and then I saw that and hoped it was related........probably not.
Anyway. Thanks Again.

You could just configure 3D accel, then it wont take so much cpu when you used 3D screensavers.

That's a thought. If you mean through the xscreensaver-demo interface. Otherwise ......... I'm just a user, your a developer. It's like a thirsty guy and a hydrologist looking at the ocean LOL.
