Audible clicking during playback in both analog and digital outputs

Hello,

I've recently upgraded the sound peripherals for my laptop and there is a noticeable clicking that is running me mad.

- My equipment is fine, they don't click with other computers nor with my phone.
- I can reproduce the clicking with multiple peripherals, including with my old setup. Their quality was just not good and it was not as noticeable, but it is clearly there now that I pay attention.
- I'm running Arch on a Dell XPS15 9560.
- I'm running Pipewire.
- The clicking is only audible during playback, and it happens at seemingly regular intervals of ~1s.
- I can hear the clicking when I connect headphones to the analog output.
- But, I can also hear the clicking if I connect my headphones via an external USB audio interface.
- Internal soundcard power-saving is disabled,

 cat /sys/module/snd_hda_intel/parameters/power_save

outputs 0.
- The USB power suspension of my external card is disabled.

 /sys/bus/usb/devices/DEVICE/power/control

is "on".
- I am not running TLP or other power-sawing tools.

I'll appreciate any ideas about what might be causing the clicking and how to diagnose/fix it.

Thank you.
