[SOLVED] Arch Live USB fails to start. vmlinuz-linux: Buffer Too Small

Hello guys,

I have a problem with the Arch Live ISO. Everytime I try to boot from the Live USB in UEFI mode i get the menu to select

Arch install medium (x86_64, UEFI)
Arch install medium (x86_64, UEFI) (Copy to RAM)
...

among others. When I pick one this fails with the error:

exit_boot() failed
efi_main() failed
Failed to execute Arch Linux install medium (x86_64, UEFI) (\arch\boot\x86_64\vmlinuz-linux): Buffer Too Small

I tried every USB port on my machine and various different USB sticks (2.0, 3.0, 3.1, 32GB, 8GB, 64GB, etc). None seem to change anything. Is this a hardware issue or is there something I am missing?
I have a dual boot setup with Windows 10 and Garuda Linux (but I am sick of Garuda and want to install Arch). Secure Boot and CSM are disabled. Fast Boot is also not enabled. Also, I really want to avoid having to
install Arch in Legacy-BIOS mode.

Any advice would be nice big_smile

How did you create the live USB?

CLI Paste | How To Ask Questions

Arch Linux | x86_64 | GPT | EFI boot | refind | stub loader | systemd | LVM2 on LUKS
Lenovo x270 | Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz | Intel Wireless 8265/8275 | US keyboard w/ Euro | 512G NVMe INTEL SSDPEKKF512G7L

Oh I am so sorry, I forgot this issue was still open. I unplugged all my USB devices and it worked. After some more troubleshooting I found it was one specific USB device (unplugging this always gets the live Environment to start). I will mark this as solved.
