Archlinux acting wierd lately for me on virtual box.

Sorry for general subject but really Archlinux is really acting weird for me for past some days on virtualbox.

It all started will an update around a week ago, major change that i remember was gnome update it became really shi**y looking and slow, every time i click on Activities it hangs for a second and after sometime whole system hangs for eternity.

and more weird stuff came up when i tried to install a clean system on the Virtualbox, even the installation `.iso` hung up on me and didn't even reached the point where i can install Archlinux.

So looked up a bit and found somethings:

I tried to install xfce4 and it worked but the moment i stoped the vm and started again i got below error:

the device may have been added with another device file
failed to add fb -22

and stuck forever.

then i find some more errors:

soft lockup CPU #3 stuck for 20 seconds
MP BIOS : 8254 timer not connected to IO APIC

i even tried updating the bios upto 2 version above the current but it still not working.

If i add noapic then it reaches the gdm login screen but if i do some heavy stuff then system hungs up on me.

It was working so smoothly before but now it hardly reaches the login screen.

Can anyone please tell me what i can do to fix it?

I even tried to downgrade the virtualbox to a lower version, but that too has no effect.

It took whole of my day today and not sure how i can fix it sad
