Changing GDM login background image

The suggested method in arch wiki here doesn't work since the extracted theme obtained from the script doesn't match with the given xml template, and so the resources can't be compiled. This happens on Gnome 42.1

Can anyone suggest the updated method for changing the gdm login screen background

Try the gdm-settings app in the AUR. It worked fine for me.

Yeah... gdm-settings works fine. Yet the arch wiki's method doesn't work.
