I have two arch machines. Fry is a headless mini PI with a Brother USB printer attached to it with the following settings:
Share printers connected to this system: true
Allow printing from the internet: true
Advertise web interface: true
Allow remote administration: true
And the printer is Idle, Accepting Jobs, Shared, and Server Default
wtih
Driver: Brother MFC-7340 for CUPS (grayscale)
Connection: usb://Brother/MFC-7340?serial=000A0N753325
I can perform all of that management from the other machine (Bender) via the CUPS web UI, but when I try "Add Printer" or "Find New Printers", the Brother doesn't show up in the list. I see the braille printer and four instances of my wife's HP network photo printer. I also tried adding it using a few of the IPP and HTTP schemes suggested, using Fry's IP address for the hostname, but was unable to print a test page.
How can I add this printer remotely?

I played with more ipp values and got it to appear using ipp://fry/printers/Brother_MFC-7340 and it appears to send print jobs from bender to fry. If I print on bender, I see a new entry in the completed jobs list on fry, but nothing actually prints out. The page log has an entry for that pdf file, and the access log has entries for Validate-Job, Create-Job, and Send-Document, which are all successful-ok. There's nothing in the error log.
