As title decribed, it's duplicate since I found some related post in this bbs, the newest is this post in 2014, anwser is NO proper way but using ignore list after command or in conf.
Is this kind of functionality valid nowadays?
Thanks.

Re: Ignore package of certain version

I'm sure it's still not possible... I checked and neither the wiki nor the pacman man pages mention anything related to versions in IgnorePkg.

What problem are you trying to solve by the way?

So sad to hear that.

It's about a bug against very daily use of GNOME mutter, I've ungraded mutter and related package,  reported that and it's mentioned as a milestone, so this bug is very likely to be fixed in the next version.
Though pacman will show me which version it ignore each time I run it with Syu, I.m too lazy to remember whether the ignored version is the buggy one.

I use nvchecker for checking new software releases. It has support for official Arch packages and the AUR. I think it might be of help in your case.

Don't know if this is even close to what you're looking for, but you could use a pacman hook to print a "reminder" on every upgrade action:

[Trigger]
Operation=Upgrade
Type=Package
Target=*

[Action]
Depends=mutter
Description = Print buggy mutter version
When=PostTransaction
Exec=/usr/bin/echo "versionnumber"
