need to relogin everywhere whenever brave updates

Something that has been bugging me for a long time already. I'm using https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/brave-bin as my main browser. Everytime brave gets updated I need to relogin on the sites I use regulary (e.g. github, google, twitch, ...). With 2fa everywhere this is quite annoying, as the websites always say "You seem to login from a new device"

Is there a way to preserve my status (cookies, localstorage, or wherever this information is saved) over app updates? Is this a specific issue of the AUR package or is the same happening e.g. with https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/chromium/ ?
