Firefox Can't open File Dialog [SOLVED]

I was attempting to save an image, but I found that the file dialog wouldn't open. I attempted to save the image in the firefox safe-mode, and the in the terminal output it displayed:

"(firefox:17851): Gtk-WARNING **: 12:45:22.631: Can't open portal file chooser: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown:The name org.freedesktop.portal.Desktop was not provided by any .service files"

I'm not sure what service file its referring to. Any help deciphering this message would be appreciated.

I was looking through the discussion you linked, and I attempted to start firefox with the XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP set. When I attempt to save anything, the gtk error no longer appears, but the file dialog still wont open at all.

Do you have any flatpak/xdg-portal packages installed?

I did not. Just installed xdg-desktop-portal package and the issue was resolved. Thanks for your help
