Backlight keys not working on Lenovo ideapad 3

I have attempted the proposed kernel options https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Backli … ne_options) to no avail.

in addition I can't find the keys, unlike every other media / shortcut key, using evtest nor can I rebind the keys to anything on KDEs shortcuts settings

Which kernel command line options did you try?
I too faced this issue on my Ideapad 3, but was able to solve it with the option:

acpi_backlight=video

.
