cups Brother printer showing "waiting for printer to become available"

My new printer worked fine for a few days but now suddenly it just doesn't show up in printer options when i try to print. when i open the dialogue window the column next to the printer says "waiting for printer to become available".

But apparently if by mistake i press print then nothing happens but if i reboot and the printer is still connected then it prints the last thing i asked to print but again on startup the printer doesn't work.(hope that made sense)

I tried going through arch wiki and forums to see if something works but it isn't helping.

thank you

I tried searching for an issue and 'sudo journalctl -f' shows something when i connect the printer, it is some error with avahi

also i am getting the same kind of error displayed on my start up, i have tried capturing it best i could: https://imgur.com/a/m5rVED9

I think before cups had an issue with sane so, i removed it but apparently these two started behaving this way around the same time (i just remembered this)

Re: cups Brother printer showing "waiting for printer to become available"

A suggestion.  Reread your post from the perspective of someone who is not in the room with you.  What have you told us?  From my perspective, nothing useful.
Okay, the printer is unavailable.  I could get snarky and ask if it is plugged in, but you do later say it reprints something if you push a button.

Tell us about the system.

How is connected?   USB? Serial Cable? Networked?  Wired or WiFi?
Are you using CUPS?  What is the CUPS configuration?  Is it using a static address for a printer address?
What is the IP address of the printer?  Could it have changed?
What have you upgraded in the last few days?
Going through the wikis and forums is terrific!  But, tell us what you read, why, and what you learned.

Re: cups Brother printer showing "waiting for printer to become available"

Sorry, i was confused as to what i am supposed to mention but here it is

I am using it via usb cable

and i am using cups for this, i tried installing foomatic packages as mentioned in wikis but it doesn't work

I have only done full system upgrades (running 'pacman -Syu') and nothing else

also i would like to change my statement, the old print jobs don't execute when my laptop reboots but when i restart my printer while it is connected to my laptop at that time it prints the pages and then again the printer dialogue shows "waiting for printer to become available.

And when i browsed through the forums, most of them have permission issues but i already took assigned the user as 'lp' in kernel modules as mentioned in the wiki.

Anything else i am supposed to mention here? Please let me know
