Steam-runtime - black screen when run through Cinnamon menu

Hi. I have a fresh installation of Archlinux (Cinnamon DM) and i have problem with Steam client.
Installed it via pacman -S steam so it's not a native one.
When i run:

$ steam-runtime 

in the Terminal, Steam starts fine.
But when im trying to do the same via Cinnamon menu it starts with a black screen.
Looking at the .desktop file /usr/share/applications/steam.desktop i can see that the execution line is just "steam-runtime %U" so there's nothing that could explain different behavior.
I have tried applying the workaround found here to the .desktop file https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam- … ssues/8475

Exec=/usr/bin/steam-runtime -no-cef-sandbox -cef-single-process %U

But it also doesnt work
As the issue only occurs when im trying to launch Steam via the menu and not when launching it via the terminal, im not sure how can i troubleshoot it - im not seeing any error messages.
