AUR: The SSH public key is invalid

To add a package to the AUR, the guidelines say to generate a key with this command

ssh-keygen -f ~/.ssh/aur

Then I copy/paste the content of aur.pub to my AUR profile. I get: The SSH public key is invalid

What am I missing? Should be something simple, but I've been searching for a while with no solution.

There can't be any newlines in it.
