Can anyone tell me which package provides gnome-settings-daemon? I am using fluxbox but would like to be able to use my media keys as well. I've tried keytouch and don't much like it. I use to use gnome as my desktop but don't really like the bloat of it, so I would like to get gnome-settings-daemon or the equivalent functionality without having to install a lot of packages that I am never going to use. So can someone help me out with this problem. Thanks for any input.

That would be control-center
control-center /opt/gnome/libexec/gnome-settings-daemon

Well I installed gnome-control-center and when trying to launch gnome-settings-daemon I'm getting an error...
GSwitchIt-WARNING **: Unable to connect to dbus: Unable to determine the address of the message bus (try 'man dbus-launch' and 'man dbus-daemon' for help)
** (gnome-settings-daemon:11814): CRITICAL **: dbus_g_connection_register_g_object: assertion 'connection != NULL' failed
** (gnome-settings-daemon:11814): CRITICAL **: dbus_g_proxy_new_for_name: assertion 'connection != NULL' failed
** (gnome-settings-daemon:11814): CRITICAL **: dbus_g_proxy_call: assertion 'DBUS_IS_G_PROXY (proxy)' failed
I have dbus-daemon running but dbus-launch is not. I'm guessing this is the problem but I don't know how to get dbus-launch to run. Can someone help me out here. Thanks.

You need a user session of dbus. Put this in your .xinitrc, above everything else:
eval `dbus-launch --sh-syntax --exit-with-session`

Thanks that work perfectly. Just one more step to the prefect setup for me.
