KDE 3.2 Instability

Has anyoneelse found KDE 3.2 very unstable?  I've completely uninstalled it!  Many times my icons have disappeared, messed up menus, and two, count them two, times my whole computer has crashed.  Alt-CTRL-f1 didnt even work!  It was totally frozen.  I've switched to icewm now.  Anyone else's thoughts?

Re: KDE 3.2 Instability

Iv'e only had one problem where the arrows on the kmenu dissapeared and left a big gap. But they came back after a reboot
Apart from that seems ok to me
Sorry, not much help.

Re: KDE 3.2 Instability

maybe one thing as general comment to this (because i cannot reproduce most of the problems with kde3.2 other people speak about):

when upgrading kde (e.g. from 3.1.y to 3.2.x), try not to do this in a konsole or xterm while running kde ... run pacman -Suy in console NOT running kde/.. the same time

Re: KDE 3.2 Instability

the problem is dp is that should not be the case. the concept of a binary distro is to able to do things quickly and seemlessly with ease. dropping into a console is not what most people consider easy.
