First I need to ask whether you're using an aur helper (since it would be a pita to guide you through the build process - at least for me).
Second: yes.
Having said that, I would recommend picking 'wayfire' 's stable version (no subprojects needed here) with the only downside that you would have to stall 'wlroots' updates until wayfire gets updated (it's basically a one-man-project - but a great one).
Another recommendation from my side would be not to use 'wayfire-desktop-git' at all (only as reference) in order to get a wayfire desktop-like environment, but to build it up the modular (arch) way - but that's just me...
EDIT: If you're thinking *screw dogknowsshit*, you could try and use the workaround from the wayfire-git package site:
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/wayfire-git

Thanks for the info. I will read more about the modular way to build wayfire. I like very much this project (wayfire) and I have tried it with Garuda. But I would like to build it myself and stay with Arch native.

It's less complicated than it sounds. Basically you will only have to build 'wayfire' and its configuration 'wf-config' in order to get a running session, but for special tasks such as desktop notifications, statusbar, clipboard, you name it, you will have to install extra packages, and 'wayfire-desktop-git' contains a preselected list of extra packages as dependencies which I would only use as reference. Take 'wofi' for example , which is a "sane" choice for an app launcher, but maybe you'd prefer 'bemenu', or 'fuzzel', or no GUI at all (and only use keybindings)...

Thank you all for your answers.
I'm relatively new to Arch so I will have to read about the arch packaging process. I need more understanding about it first.
I'm starting to read https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Makepkg
