I've changed GPU from GTX780 to RTX3080.
Since then, I have windows flickering/overlapping in plasma.
For example, when I use Firefox and have dolphin opened in the background, from time to time (seems random) dolphin window appear on top of Firefox, but It is not "active". It's not that I can use Dolphin when it happens. It is visible, but every mouse click is going to Firefox.
I did steps from https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/NVIDIA so I have driver installed and kernel modules enabled.
If I need to post an output from any command, please give me a help with this. I have no idea what logs or something Nvidia or wayland uses.

Since there're recent threads about the nouveau driver causing this and I don't see how switching the GPU but noting else would start to cause (I guess) spurious buffer flips (is the dolphin image dated or does the firefox window update "behind" the ghost dolphin window?) please post a complete system journal and also elaborate on whether you get the same effect w/ eg. weston or sway and whether you maybe also updated (or rebooted after an update) before the issue started.

The NVidia driver is currently proprietary. It will have issues with wayland since the team working on it does not work together with nvidia. However you could use the nouveau driver for it to work with wayland. Or you also could use X11 if you need the performance from the proprietary driver since X11 is officially supported by the NVidia team.

Nvidia supports GBM since 495xx https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Wayland#Requirements and plasma (used to) support eglstreams.
There's also https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x8 … idia-open/

The firefox and dolphin are only the examples.
There are black boxes instead of miniatures on taskbar, artifacts when I run blender.
I tried with weston and didn't notice any problems.
Same for x11
I mentioned gpu replacement because I didn't have any problems.

Yes, but did you do anything else / is the GPU replacement coincidence?
Still post a complete system journal and if possible try the behavior w/ the old GPU (though right now it sounds like a bug in kwin/wayland)
