Lately I've been having issues with KDE and especially KWin when it comes to window & widget placement, and window startup location.
I have a dual monitor setup which I know KDE isn't very fond of, but I've been trying to patch my way around with config to make it work, but it really wants to not work for some reason.
On the main issues I have are:
Widgets like clocks never stay where I put them. After a reboot, they all snap back to previous locations, which are consistent but are never the location I put them back in after each reboot.
I've tried setting up window rules for Dolphin but they are always ignored and even deleted.
My rules are:
- Size > Apply initially (960 x 540)
- Initial placement > Force Temporarily (Centered) (This one gets deleted on each restart)
- Ignore requested geometry > Apply Initially (Yes)
However none of them are followed, but on other programs that I've set rules on like VSCode, they are applied without an issue.
As aforementioned, I have a dual monitor setup, with my main one being on the middle and the 2nd one being on the left.
However KDE treats the leftmost monitor as the main one (Yes I've set the actual main monitor as main/first), the password gets introduced in it at boot, and programs and sometimes even dropdown menus appear on that monitor, without any way of fixing it as far as I've tried.
(Also, I know that separate issues should be addressed in different threads, but considered all of these to be close enough with each other to include them all on this thread, but if this cannot be done, I'll remove the entries and post them in their respective threads)
Thanks in advance for all answers :D
