[SOLVED] Dell Inspiron 5625 freezes when opening the lid

I have a Dell Inspiron 5625 with an AMD Ryzen 7 5825u.

When I close the lid, it goes to sleep, but when I open the lid the mouse point is displayed, and then everything freezes (including the mouse pointer).

I have read about "S3" and "S2idle", but it all went straight over my head. I had read that the 5.18 kernel included fixes for AMD Ryzen power management, which is one of the reasons why I purchased this laptop (everything else works just fine, just not closing/opening the lid).

Is there anything I can do on my AMD Ryzen 5825u laptop so it wakes (resumes) properly when I open the lid?

Suspend started working after a few kernel updates. Marking this as SOLVED.
