I reinstalled my archlinux yesterday with KDE.
At first, my bluetooth headset can not work.So I followed this topic , installed pulseaudio-bluetooth and set "ControllerMode = bredr" in /etc/bluetooth/main.conf.
After a reboot, my bluetooth headset works. In order to get aptX support, I installed pipewire-pulse to replace pulseaudio and pulseaudio-bluetooth.
Then I got aptX work well. I edited the /etc/bluetooth/main.conf to reset it
When I do the daily system maintenance to check the journalctl output , I found this error message:
bluetoothd[630]: src/profile.c:record_cb() Unable to get Hands-Free Voice gateway SDP record: Host is down
I searched google and found this this and this .
But it seems that they could not use A2DP when this error occurred. In my case,my bluetooth works well.
My bluez version is Version 5.64 and the status of bluetooth.service is here:

Do you have an actual problem or are you just wondering about the message? It simply can't initialize the "old" hands-free protocol, which might be normal given that the HW seems to support aptx duplex and faststream. But still it's kind of BT protocol "baseline" so it's likely being probed anyway. I wouldn't worry too much.
